With the assistance of The Roots, Rocky belts out the first single off his forthcoming album. Remember a few months back when he got locked up? Yeah, this was the show he missed.
The Roots? In Philly? Nawwww.
The Roots perform “The Fire” at the NHL’s annual Winter Classic game which was held in their hometown of Philly this year and featured the Flyers facing off against the Rangers at Ctizen’s Bank Park yesterday afternoon.
To ring in the new year, a number of hip-hop’s most talented artists took to the stage across the country. Mike Posner and Ludacris took over Miami; The Roots and Cee-lo stunk up NYC and Young Jeezy, MGK, Wale, Meek Mill and Yelawolf tore up BET. Here is footage of all of the above
To help usher in their next album, Undun, The Roots will release three videos each week leading up to the release on December 6. But first, here’s the video for their Big K.R.I.T.-featured track.

As most fans should already know, The Roots have been working on their thirteenth (and first ever concept) album, Undun. Now, the legendary have a release date. December 6th via Def Jam. This should be absolutely crazy.

I don’t think I could be any happier. These guys have never released bad music and in the grand scheme of hip-hop; have done an amazing job on keeping it real. Here is some footage of the group during their first studio session. Undum is set to come out later in 2011.
The Roots hosted their annual picnic over the past weekend in Philly. Black Thought rips a solo set with J. Period, Wiz Khalifa does a set and then Nas joins The Roots to perform.
