You know what it is, not Black and Yellow. I highly considered making a purely Black and Yellow playlist of the week. Then I realized that I have too many versions. Instead, enjoy this list. Download the list below.
No I just didn’t spell Talib Kweli’s name wrong. This young kid out of Philly is making a name for himself. His debut EP “Eighteen” is due out November 1st (today). His single “The Right Time”, has been released and catching the eye of blogs all over the industry. However, Tayyib Ali isn’t all new. He’s already opened for the like of Sam Adams and Shwayze as well as headlinging the 2010 Kamikazz Festival with AllinmyheadNEXT artist Chris Webby. Tayyib’s lyrical minded approach to the game is a nice change of pace from all the college rappers who have been biting samples all over the place.

It’s not easy trying to make a name for yourself in hip-hop doing everything on your own, but this independent intellect overachieves. His 150,000 Youtube streams speak for themselves. For Tayyib, it’s always about staying true to the art form. There are a few Tayyib songs that you need to check out. Besides his single “The Right Time” be sure to download his EP “Eighteen” (released today) below. I just downloaded it and can’t get enough. the kid is gifted. Also, be sure to check him out on Facebook.
