Let me save you some time from reading the block qupte below. Joey scratched a number of songs from his earlier mixtape 1999. Every song on this project is one of those. It’s Joey Bada$$ though so it can’t be so bad…

“1999 rejex” is a compilation of tracks that didn’t make it to my debut mixtape “1999″ (obviously). I decided to put this project together because I have a lot of unreleased material that I didn’t want to keep from the ears of my fans and supporters. I also have a couple of tracks on here I did when I was 15 years old (“little rachel”, “indubitable”, and “silent knight”) and I want to show people the progress I’ve made in a couple of years. The remaining songs (“flowers pt. I”, “catharsis”, “panty raid”, “fantum” and “update”) are tracks I dropped prior to the release of ’99 as promo only. I look at “rejex” as my more experimental side compared to ’99. Putting together these two projects even taught me a lil sumchin about my evolution as an artist and individual. Watch me go from “Joey B4 DA $$” to the “Joey BA DA $$”…… If you know what eye mean.. Haha

Giftz’ drops off The Lake Effect 1.5: The Re-Rock. There’s a ton of dope shit coming out of Chicago right now, but this is the trillest. If you missed our interview with Giftz from a few weeks ago in which he detailed what he was putting into this project.

Domo doin’ work as always. Listened to the first three tracks and can honestly say that aside from Earl Sweatshirt, Domo is the best rapper in the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All conglomerate. It’s the reason he’s one of the only guys who has gotten big name features. Not to mention, an LP of full Alchemist production.

Honestly, this mixtape was not on my radar until I was told how dope it was. One listen through and you’ll be hooked. There is something mysteriously crazy about how Lloyd Banks has kept himself relevant in the wake of the disappearance of every single G-Unit member. In fact, they’ve become so irrelevant that I don’t think I’ve ever written the moniker “G-Unit” on this blog in years.

Fresh off the release of his highly successful album The Stoned Immaculate, Spitta unleashes a five track EP he recorded with Harry Fraud. Over two short studio sessions, the duo were able to pound out enough tracks for Curren$y to release. This time, under the moniker Spitta Andretti. The hottest producer in the game brings his always classic rock infused beats with him for what is just all around good music.

Stalley sucks. God. Only one song in on this album and he has no place here. Gunplay is hilarious though. Shouts to MMG for holding it down one again. It’s nice to see Kendrick get some love on this album but he doesn’t fit in with these guys at all.
