It’s been fourteen years since Christopher Wallace’s life was tragically cut short. The amazing thing about art is it can be cherished long after the creator has passed. I’m sure people will be bumping Biggie on March 9th for many years to come.

Here’s an interview espn’s Outside the Lines did with Shaq exploring his relationship with the deceased king of Brooklyn.

Here’s my favorite Biggie track. Enjoy.

For the first time in a long time 50 has released two consecutive tracks that I actually like. Keep an eye on him to see whether this blossoms into something. People sometimes forget how cold he used to be.

Sasha Grey will apparently be in Eminem’s video for “Spacebound”, one of the more annoying songs off relapse IMO. She’ll make it worth watching though, kind of like the last season of Entourage. Bitch is dirty.

Check out this King Fantastic Video for an example of the beautiful fusion that takes place when rappers put these women in videos.

Eminem didn’t even have to perform to steal the spotlight yesterday at the Superbowl. The middle-aged venom spitter made headlines through his appearance in two advertisements, one for Chrysler and the other for Brisk.

Good move by Chrysler here. Detroit is the heart of the american auto industry which was once a source of great pride(until the Germans and Japanese recovered from World War II). The Economic downturn hit Detroit heavily. By making Eminem the face of Chrysler, the message is delivered that Chrysler and Detroit can follow Shady’s example and come back from the dead and restore American pride in the process.

A lot of people have been asking me about an article I wrote a while back about Kanye’s Polo Bear Sweater, mostly in the vein of where they can purchase said sweater. Your best bet is Ebay or Flightclub in New York City.

I found one here but they’re rare. I saw a bunch around Christmas time when I got mine so it might be an easier cop around then.

Here’s a trailer for a documentary showing the early roots of Hip Hop’s connection to Ralph Lauren.

Here are two people who take their Polo obsession a little too seriously.

All I have to say on this matter is that there’s a reason so many people are obsessed with Ralph Lauren. To a lot of people it represents a style of life they could only dream of as children. Not to get all literary, but In The Great Gatsby, Daisy only fully processes Gatsby’s transformation when he shows her his collection of expensive shirts. Basically, to some, the American Dream can be boiled down to a dope shirt collection.
