So Weezer set out to play the premiere show of their “Blinkerton” (The Blue Album+Pinkerton) and in Hollywood and there were guest appearances galore.  First there was Jorge Garcia, whose headshot was featured on the cover of Weezer’s last album Memories, came out to lay some vocals on “Perfect Situation” and as you can see below, he does a pretty good job.

Next up was Gerard Way and the rest of My Chemical Romance.  Now I can’t say I’m a big fan of there’s, but if there was ever a Weezer track I’d like to see them on, it would have to be “My Name Is Jonas” off Weezer(The Blue Album). Anyways check it for yourself.

News surfaced late last night that Kanye West is not going to release a song this friday. For the past five friday’s kanye West has released a song to the public for free. Entitled G.O.O.D Friday, Kanye has featured artists on these songs ranging from RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan to Rick Ross. Yet, after the leak of his heavily auto-tuned “Lost in The World” yesterday, Kanye responded with this tweet.

‘Ye’s feeling is that if people are going to leak music that is already free, then he is going to do what he wants and not release a song. In this day and age, leaks happen for almost every song. However, ALL of those songs are for sale. So for someone to leak a song that the world was going to get for free anyways seems pretty stupid. It ruins the tradition of G.O.O.D Friday.

Yea, you read that one right.  As a part of his newest album Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time, a collection of covers by Santana and various other modern artists (not just rappers).  As for the track I’m sharing with you now, it’s a cover of one you’ve almost definitely heard of, “Back In Black” by ACDC.  Below you can check out Nas and Carlos Santana playing the song live as well as a download link for the song (obviously).  So take a look at a very different take on a rock classic:

Although it was released over a day ago, I finally just got a chance to listen to Donnis’ first official EP. Available only on Datpiff.com and through iTunes, the EP, which has the length of an LP is much different than what I expected. After listening to his first mixtape “Diary of an ATL Brave”, I gave Donnis a lot of credit for his production and his rhymes. However, after listening to “Fashionably Late” over the past day, I realized that Donnis is not that great of a rapper.

While his production of this EP is dope, his rhymes just aren’t up to par. Yet, there are a few songs that are worth checking out because of their samples. Notice the Rihanna sample on “Yup” and the Ludacris sample on “Folk Tales“. These are probably the best songs on what seems to be an irritating and annoying EP to listen to. I had high hopes for Donnis. Quite frankly, I thought he’d be the next big thing to come out of Atlanta. Looks like “Fashionably Late” was just a set back.

So if this is the first you’re hearing of Skyzoo, it’s time to get yourself acquainted.  The Brooklyn MC (right out of Bed-Stuy) is a big up and comer and his last 2 tracks are nothing but fire.  Don’t believe it?

Let ‘em know I put my balls on the beat like Brennan Huff

If a rapper who quotes Steo Brothers isn’t someone we can get behind, then I don’t know who is.
